Dearest Focusing community,

We are deeply saddened to bring you the news that our Founder and friend, Gene Gendlin, passed away today. He died peacefully at home. His attendant and two dear friends were at home with him at the time.

我们沉痛的带给你们这个消息，我们的创始人和朋友,尤金简德林，今天去世了。他很平静的在家中离开。他的护理人员和两个亲爱的朋友当时陪在他的身边。

Gene's children will hold a memorial service and burial in the coming days, for family only. At a future time, The International Focusing Institute will hold a public celebration of his life, to which you will all be invited.

简德林的孩子们将在未来几天举办追悼会和葬礼，家庭成员参加。在未来的时间里，国际聚焦协会将会为他的整个生命举办一个公开的仪式，届时邀请你们的参加。

At a time like this, we are especially aware of the impossibility of words to convey the wholeness of our experience.  Sadness at his passing, joy for the life he lived so well, admiration for his rigorous academic achievement, gratitude for his having developed Focusing and the philosophy from which it springs, and, of course, love.

Please hold in your thoughts and prayers his three children, Judy, Gerry and Elissa, and their families, as well as the friends who have been so caring and loyal to Gene over many years.
